After school care

​

The children come straight from class to after school care, where they are greeted by our friendly staff members. Children in New Entrant classes are collected by staff when the bell goes.

​

Activities available inside the hall after afternoon tea:

• Staff run craft table Monday to Thursday

• Board games

• Train set

• Puzzles

• K'nex

• Lego

• Action figures

• Dinosaurs

• Marble race

• Colouring and activity books

• Drawing and craft

• Doll's house

• Play food

• Card games

Activities available outside (all supervised by staff):

• Free play on the junior playground

• Sports gear on the COLA

• Basketball 

• Organised games on the field

• Sports cupboard (skipping ropes, hula hoops, stilts, cricket, swing ball, rugby, soccer, etc)

Daily Schedule

​

 2:45pm: Staff arrive and set up the hall and prepare afternoon tea. If parents are picking their children up on a day they would normally be coming to us, they are most welcome to pop into the hall and sign their child out prior to collecting them from their classroom.

​

2:55pm: School finishes. New entrants are collected from their classrooms by staff, who check in with the teachers, and help the children remember jumpers, hats, shoes and book bags. Children entering the programme are greeted by staff before they put their bags away and then choose a book or card game to play while the roll is completed

3:15pm: Afternoon tea. Children are provided with hand sanitiser before they get their afternoon tea. They sit with their friends and staff while eating and may have second helpings of fruit if they are still hungry. They are most welcome to eat from their own lunch box during this time.

3:30pm: Once the children have finished eating, they are dismissed and may choose where and what they play.

 

​

When parents come to collect their child/ren, they sign their child/ren out on our tablet before leaving.
